The reaction of people in India after the Pulwama attack is very strong and the way media highlighted the incident also played a huge role. The citizens of India from every profession are condemning the wrongdoing; Bollywood banning Pakistani actors and singers; Cricbuzz removing news relating to Pakistan cricket; D sports and reliance IMG partying ways with PSL are steps taken by private bodies. Now, BCCI's statement of not playing with Pakistan in ICC tournament if not granted permission by the government of India clearly shows the interference of politics in Indian cricket. On the other side of the border, the chairman of PCB is appointed by the prime minister. Although national games of both countries are not cricket yet the tension can be felt both on and off the ground. With almost no people to people contact the people on either side of the border rely on print and digital media to build their opinions towards each other. The hype the cricket match between India and Pakistan gets is just unbelievable and it is a double-edged sword can work on either way to make peace and stability or can be used as a tool for putting pressure by boycotting. India and Pakistan haven't been playing bilateral series; In the last decade, only one bilateral series was played that too a short one(no test matches). The PCB filed a case against BCCI for not sticking to the agreement. PCB lost the case as there was a term in the agreement subject to government's approval. So, there's nothing much boards can do if the government of respective countries resists.
